Matthew qualified as a Dentist from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) in 2021. He ranked first nationally in the 2021/2022 dental recruitment process and chose to further hone his skills at a practise in Newcastle. He has been treating anxious patients for years and subsequently undergone additional training in conscious sedation in 2022 to aid anxious patients undergo dental treatment.
Matthew advanced his expertise in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Cambridge University Hospitals, primarily Addenbrooke’s Hospital. During his time here, he treated a wide range of complex cases that cannot be managed in general practise. His experience includes managing challenging extractions, addressing head and neck cancer concerns, and working with patients who require advanced surgical care. Matthew’s journey into dentistry began with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical Material Science with honours. Matthew is committed to delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring a comfortable and stress-free experience for his patients. His goal is to make every visit as pleasant as possible.
Outside of dentistry, Matthew enjoys kayaking, scuba diving, swimming, and reading. He is also a passionate cook and baker. Now settled in Bury St Edmunds, he is embracing gardening as his latest hobby.
Matthew will continue to maintain the practice’s ethos and reputation for good quality preventative dentistry.
